Where
is the pricing information?
Because we sell our products globally, we offer customers a choice
of currencies to purchase with. To do this, we have to adjust for
exchange rate variations. If you go to our online
ordering pages and select the product you want, you will be
able to get the correct pricing in the currency you prefer.
What's
the Difference between ReWorx Standard & Professional editions?
The Professional Edition gives you additional features aimed at the
documentation professional. In particular the Professional
edition gives the author access to a greater range of online
output formats and technologies. Use the Professional edition if
you want to create Help systems, or if
you are creating an Intranet and want to use our more powerful
Table Of Contents Technologies.
Standard Edition gives you the same powerful republishing and
formatting tools, but is aimed at producing Web-based online
documentation. Standard Edition does not give you a choice of the
TOC technology used (it only supports the auto-sensing SmarTOC)
and it will not produce Help systems.

Can
I upgrade from ReWorx Standard to Professional later?
Yes, but the total cost of this approach is slightly more than
purchasing the Professional Edition in the first place. You can
order your upgrade from our online
ordering pages.
I
have HDK, what product should I upgrade to?
Most likely you will want to upgrade to XDK (although we call it a X-grade).
XDK will automatically upgrade your HDK projects, plus give you
access to all the latest authoring and documentation
technologies. For information about the XDK X-grade see the

Will
HDK continue to be supported?
Yes. However, we have found there is not much more we can add to
HDK that will provide significant benefit to our customers. This
means that we intend to maintain the product and support the many
thousands of people using it. But we also would like clients to
look at the benefits of X-grading
to XDK.
I
have WebLite, what product should I upgrade to?
In most cases you would Xgrade to ReWorx Professional. It follows a
similar philosophy to WebLite but uses more advanced technology.
It is much faster, has no memory limitations and gives you access
to all the latest end-user navigation aides. You can order
your WebLite to ReWorx Professional Xgrade online.
If
I want to create a Help system which product do I use?
ReWorx Professional or XDK produce Help systems.
The answer to which one will depend on what authoring method you
wish to employ… XDK for advanced authoring,
ReWorx for simple document conversion, or RePublico for
controlled collaborative authoring.

I

What
happened to the Virtual Media name?
Vmtech International acquired the Virtual Media brand and
products. Republicorp acquired the RePublico
range of
Enterprise products. The Virtual Media brand will continue to be
used for the technical writing tools and the RePublico brand is
used for the Enterprise products. For more information, see
